Yomaira – Executive Assistant

Yomaira – ‘Jo’ – has worked in the hospital and health care industry for over 20 years. Throughout her experience in the field, the two things that have been continually ingrained is that patience and kindness make a difference. Using that knowledge and the lessons learned from having been raised in the diversity of New York City, she tries to implement her understanding of cultural awareness and cultural sensitivities in her work.

Yomaira has always had an interest in food and nutrition, although her interest piqued after a personal health experience. She considered becoming a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, but soon realized that her path was leaning more towards human societies and cultures and their development. She is slowly pursuing a degree in anthropology.

Yomaira speaks fluent English and Spanish and is working on becoming fluent in Italian. In her spare time, she loves to read and write poetry, craft, try new foods and restaurants, and travel with her family.
