Alexis received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutrition (Dietetics) at Arizona State University. After graduation, she obtained her NDTR credential and worked in public health conducting nutrition counseling. In addition, she took a year and a half break from dietetics and taught English in Yokohama City, Japan to fine-tune her teaching skills and explore the world.
After her time working abroad, she was ready to work in healthcare again; Alexis works alongside our RDNs, assisting them with patient care. Alexis wants to make sure patients are well taken care of and understand the next steps it takes to optimize their health through diet and lifestyle modification. Through her own personal experiences and observation of others, Alexis has seen the power of nutrition and how it impacts our everyday life. She finds the study of nutrition fascinating and wants to share what she knows with others.
Although Alexis is not an RDN yet, she has plans to become one in the future. Alexis hopes to complete her internship so she can practice in Arizona and help Arizonans become the best versions of themselves.
In her free time, she likes to take long walks, go to concerts, play her flute and piano, watch movies, cook, travel, and spend time with her family and friends. She also loves dogs and takes care of them frequently.
