Lisset Dutta is from Houston Texas, and a 1st generation Mexican American. She felt her calling to the field of nutrition while working as a Chef. She wanted all people, regardless of dietary restrictions to be able to enjoy her cooking. This prompted her to pursue further education after completing her culinary internship with Sandals resorts in Negril, Jamaica.
Lisset received her Bachelor of Science in Human Food and Nutrition from the University of Houston. During this time, she worked as a Chef in Montauk, New York in the summers. She completed her dietetic internship with Prairie View A&M, concentrating in School Food Service Management. Lisset is a classically trained Chef and has worked in various type of hotels, restaurants, and hospitals over the course of 10 years. She is passionate about nutrition by helping patients make their cultural foods work for them and live happier and healthier lives.
In her free time, Lisset enjoys a variety of different activities. She enjoys dancing salsa, bachata, and country line dancing. When she isn’t dancing, it is likely she is spending time with her two daughters, in the kitchen cooking, or outside playing with their dog and pet ducks.
