One-on-One Nutrition Counseling

Nutrition Counseling Online

Our one-on-one nutrition counseling service is private, personalized, and based completely on your needs. Each one-hour medical nutrition therapy consultation with your own Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) can be in-person, or via our telehealth service (video call) – whichever is more convenient for you.

Working with a Registered Dietitian can:
  • Improve your relationship with food.
  • Free you from the dieting cycle.
  • Teach you what hacking your body really means.
  • Identify what is holding you back from living your best life.
  • Empower you to create a mind/body connection through nutrition.
You will learn how to:
  • Recognize the important aspects of healthy eating.
  • Practice how to make informed food choices.
  • Establish key improvements for lifestyle management.

How Many Times Will We Need to Meet?

That’s up to you and how quickly you feel you are on track. Our goal is to meet with you as often as it takes to get your health goals on track for a sustainable healthy lifestyle. For some clients, that’s two or three weekly sessions at first, and then more infrequent follow ups to see if you are staying on track. Other clients want the accountability of regularly scheduled sessions on an ongoing basis while they focus on their goals. Our services are often covered by your health insurance.

Do I Need Lab Work?

Yes, having a recent set of blood work and lab tests on hand gives us a baseline to work with. If you have the results of recent blood work on hand – from an annual wellness test for example in the past month or two – then that’s great.

If you don’t have recent results on hand, then for your convenience, mobile laboratory services are available upon request. Please note that these lab services are not covered by insurance. The expense is directly paid to the lab company at the time of service, but their prices are reasonable.

The Nutrition Professionals want your nutrition assessment to be as accurate and individualized as possible. Up to date lab values such as Hemoglobin A1C, thyroid panel, cholesterol, etc. can provide you RDN with important information that is used to customize your plan.
